Andrew C. Barnard, Sr.

Andrew C. Barnard, Sr., (“Andy”) is the founder and owner of Barnard Law Offices. Born in Alabama, then raised in Sao Paulo, Brazil, Andy has the experience of working with many different people from different countries and cultures.

After attending Georgia Tech and graduating University of Florida, Andy moved to South Florida to attend University of Miami School of Law while working full time as a Certified Public Accountant. After graduating, he began practicing law with his father, George S. Barnard, and other family members.

Eventually, Andy left the firm to work as a solo practitioner where he successfully represented thousands of clients in several areas of law ranging from tax law, family law, criminal defense, foreclosure defense, bankruptcy, complex business litigation, and many other areas. He began to focus his practice to Property Insurance Law in order to protect the rights of honest homeowners against insurance companies after having a bad experience with his own insurance claim.

Throughout his legal career, Andy has handled thousands of evidentiary hearings, cases argued at the U.S. Supreme Court, and many jury trials. Now, Andy spends a majority of his time at Barnard Law Offices training his associates to become successful trial attorneys lending his skill and experience that he’s obtained from over 38 years of practice as a trial attorney. Andy speaks English, French, Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese.
